Got to keep working

Author: User Imageadmin (Who am I?)  //  Category: Blogging

You’d think that purchasing a few domain names to develop into bustling websites would keep me motivated to work on them, since I’ve actually paid money for something.

Not actually true. I’ve actually been strangely apathetic about them. It’s probably because now I have to go through the whole process or promoting them, submitting to directories etc, while actually filling them with content, which is harder than I initially anticipated.

I probably should have pre-written more of the content, to make sure I could actually pull this off.

So, bought some domains.

Author: User Imageadmin (Who am I?)  //  Category: Management

After reading lots of different things I finally bought two domains with GoDaddy and hosted them at Hostgator.

I chose to do this because of a special offer for Bloggeries forum members, where I can get $25 back after two months if I sign up to both places using the forum owner’s affiliate ID.

Googling for coupon codes from each company means that $25 will cover my first two months hosting, plus the cost of registering my domain names for a year.

I’ll show you my domain names when they’re ready to be unveiled to the public. But for now, they’re serisouly under development and I’m on a steep learnign curve figuring out how to work them.

Project Wonderful Losing it’s Sparkle?

PW blank

Well, a few weeks ago I added Project Wonderful to all my blogs, and at first it was really exciting to be approving all these adds every day, and slowly seeing the cents accumulate. However, recently it seems to  have faded out to a tiny trickle, despite the traffic to my blogs improving. I have to assume that something screwy is going on with the PW advertisers.

  1. First option is that they’ve all gone broke. That’s fair enough, but they certainly didn’t go broke bidding on any of my blogs.
  2. They’re on holiday over the weekend. I wonder why I’m not?
  3. They wouldn’t know what an increase in traffic looked like if it poked them in the eye. Read more…
