Sometimes typing isn’t enough. You can hit the keyboard all day and still not feel like you’ve acomplished something at the end. It lacks that tactile feeling, the sound of pen on paper, the smell of ink and the periodic frustrations when the pen stops working.
So I decided to make myself a writing book; something pretty and inspiring that I can sit in the sun and write in. A real book for my first drafts when the moment strikes me. And here is its creation, documented with pictures!

To start with, I thought a 320 page book would be a good start. It felt solid enough to be a good size book. I measured out a piece of paper that would cover the front and back cover entirely, and folded it to shape. Read more…

It’s getting close to that time of year again. That time of year where I need to spend a lot of money on the people who are close to me and the odd Kris Kringle.
Yes, I know it’s still October but Magic doesn’t appear quickly for me, particuarly if i want to order a number of things online this year, I want to be certain that they will arive in time. So I need to get my act in gear now to boost my finances for Christmas. Starting NOW
- I finally got around to writing a new article for associated content. Wont give me any money straight away (not a US citizen), but it will help add a little more every month. It wil go towards covering the cost of monthly hosting and stop my paypal acountfrom slowly shrinking. If you want to read it, then it’s at: 21st Birthday Speeches
- I will try to sell an article comparing flea treatments after I’ve written it for uni, and then altered it a litle so I don’t stuff up my own copyright. I’m not sure where to sell it, but I guess I’ll have to try DigitalPoint Forums.
- Do some more paid forum posting for KYF. It’s not fast money, and I probably can’t take longer projects but at least I can try.
- I can offer writing services for a few more general projects about hte forums I frequent.
ProjectWonderful and Adsense are going to be too slow to generate money in time for Christmas, but I’ll have to keep working on the other ideas. Making fast money from words when you’re not established is difficult, probably because ther are so many words out there already.

After reading lots of different things I finally bought two domains with GoDaddy and hosted them at Hostgator.
I chose to do this because of a special offer for Bloggeries forum members, where I can get $25 back after two months if I sign up to both places using the forum owner’s affiliate ID.
Googling for coupon codes from each company means that $25 will cover my first two months hosting, plus the cost of registering my domain names for a year.
I’ll show you my domain names when they’re ready to be unveiled to the public. But for now, they’re serisouly under development and I’m on a steep learnign curve figuring out how to work them.
