My two weeks of solid writing work started off well, but hit a wall part way through and slowed me down. I really shouldn’t have started reading James Herriot part way through.
But I did manage to work my way though another chapter of my story, totaly re-writing some particularly difficult bits, wrote a short fantasy story for a competition which may or may not happen in December, pre-wrote a number of blog posts for my other blog and … well, no. honestly that’s all on the writing front.
Not as productive as I had liked, but reading that book distracted me.
Partly it’s because reading a book takes no effort, whilst starting to write something takes a lot of effort. I can read a little in the ten spare minutes I had before leaving for the clinic, but I couldn’t write something meaningful in that time. Sure, I could jot down ideas or problems I had relaised, but I wasn’t actually writing a lot.
But some has been done, and as logn as I keep doing someting, I’ll get there.
