Fiction Addiction

To daydream is to escape
To set your mind temporarily free
Be it in maths, or a language
Or in some science ending in ‘-ology’
A beautiful, idealistic place
You wrote yourself, it’s fiction
You know it, but you always return
To satisfy your addiction.
I’m at the begining of my exams right now. One down, four written and three orals to go. I know that’s a lot, so don’t expect me to be particularly prolific on the fiction front for the next few weeks.

You’re doing great! Just look forward to the holidays coming up (and some time off!)

Time off? Are you kidding? of the eleven weeks I have between the end of these exams and the start of next semester, I need to spend 9 of them on work experience placements at various veterinary clinics. We don’t get time off.

“Fiction Addictions” reminds me so stongly of a friend…she of the ever-growing pile of books, who believes that as long as there are books to be read she’ll never die…I’ll have to share your verse with her. Good luck with your studies and keep up the good work.
