Society of Midnight Wanderers

I joined the Society of Midnight Wanderers a little while back, and haven’t been amazingly active in their community yet. You see that little button with a raven on it to the right? That’s them. They’re a bunch of writers seeking feedback and forming a community.
However, I’ve been thinking that the pixelated MW raven looks a tad out of place in the modern Internet, so I made up a few new ones that look more modern.

The first version keeps the slightly red theme from the original image, but red doesn’t suit everybody’s blog. I had to put the glow around hte raven, otherwise you’d have great difficulty seeing a black bird against a black sky.

The second is (in my opinion) more stylish and black/white/grey goes with everything. He came out a little clearer too, which is nice.
Well, I shall offer them to the Society via a forum post and see whether they want them or not. They may be happy with their current one, but I want to at least make the offer.

I like the second one. Can we see the MW in red, perhaps? Great work.

Why not? I’ll tweak it this weekend if I have a moment.
The forum post at MW has had no response, who should I message about them?

Beautiful work Ferox, however at this time I will not be updating or replacing the MW Society badge. You don’t change a logo “just because” you feel like it. This badge is synomynous with the MW Society ans is easily indentifiable. The original logo of the raven is an exact replica taken from an original dust jacket of Edgar Allen Poe’s stories. It is pixelated for a reason. It was not meant to be enlarged greater than 1.5 inches square. It was also saved at 72 DPI to allow for fast loading on member’s websites. Besides, screen resolution is rated at 72 DPI. If you require a copy of this badge at 300 DPI so it won’t be pixilated let me know and I will email it to you. As a professional photographer and graphic artist I can appreciate the hard work you’ve put into this but unfortunately, at this time we won’t be able to use your badges.
Sincerely,
~JD
